Stone fishes tough last week

The Yellowstone has been fishing pretty tough the past week or two.  Partly due to the fact it has been bright and sunny nearly everyday, partly because the browns and Fall spawning rainbows are now on their redds, “doing their thing.”  Aside from a few midges, we really haven’t seen much for Fall hatches.  Hopefully with this week’s clouds we will see more baetis on the river and the spring creeks.  In the mean time we’ve been looking else where to bring in the big ones… It hasn’t been easy that’s for sure!  Again looking at this week’s weather we welcome any clouds we can get.  Give us a call for the latest report.  406-222-7130.
