Lots of Hoppers out there...

There are lots of hoppers on the sides of the Yellowstone right now, particularly wherever you have rocks, cliffs, and tall yellow grass.  Many of these hoppers are large enough to fly away and escape the water when the wind comes along.  The smaller hoppers on the other hand, are the ones to get blown into the water.  That being said all sizes of hoppers have been taking fish, a lot of it comes down to luck and putting in the time right now.  The place we’ve seen the most hoppers has actually been inside Yellowstone National Park.  If you’re wade fishing, this might be the best spot for you…
